A hanging double sided The Cyclist Touring Club Copper painted sign.

This is a rare Double sided The Cyclist Touring Club advertising sign. This sign was pressed into copper sheets and painted at the start of the 20th century. The sign was used to let cyclist know that they were welcome to stay at a discounted rate in any establishment that displayed this sign. This sign has been hanging and at some point may have fallen down, hence the marks on the bottom. The yellow paint has been weathered over time and there is copper showing through the brown paint. The fixings are original and held in place with rivits. Not many of these copper signs have survived and this one is in fantastic condition for its age, over 100 years old.
