A Cast Iron, Victorian Garden Cloche.
This is a very early Victorian Garden Cloche. It was made between 1850, when the production of cast iron started and 1875 when the first trade mark was registered which was the Bass mark. This cloche has no trade mark and is made of cast iron, the glass is original and has the green tint used at that time to restict the amount of light that passes through. It is made from 6 pieces, 4 for the sides and 2 for the top. It is screwed together with the top screws not fully engaged
